Celty Sturluson's Scythe from Durarara!!

Bwha! One more prop done for AX2010!!

Everytime I see it around my house all I can do is turn my head to the side and go "ehhh...." Haha -- I can't decide if I want to add more to the back blade or if I should silver lined the blade edge, or gloss it, or if I should put in more smoke...For now, I think its fine.

Oh right -- Its made from a wood staff, the blade is foam core with paper decorations, all spray painted, theres a few ticks into the wood where I inserted incense sticks, lit them, and let them smoke.

Never knew Celty smelled like lavender! Hopefully that isn't against AX rules... >_>

Hello~
I've been asked to make the scythe for a friend but when I look around I see a dozen different scythes... which one is the real one?

your's awsome! nice idea with the incense sticks ;D
by the looks on your other pics where the full cosplay is shown, I have to say; great body figure! fits awsomely into character o///o

im going as celty in a month for a anime convention and i have the suit and stuff, but can you give me a walk through on the scythe and the helmet?? it would help me alot!

LOVE IT~! I'm thinking about doing a Celty cosplay too and I would like to have the scythe! I've struggling to figure out how to attach the blade to the pole though so may I ask how you went about doing it? Your scythe is epic! ^_^ ♥

That is a really rad idea you had with the incense. And a nice way to keep the helmet from getting stuffy, carrying the incense around. xD

I got it from my dad. ^^;; But they do sell long wooden poles at Home Depot.
